In the technological world of continuous changing cell phones, it was necessary for us to design a universal cell phone adapter to use with our unit. If your cell phone does not fit the small adapters included in the package, you have two options.

1. Use your own cell phone car charger with our universal adapter.
a. hold your phone
b. plug into the car charger made for the phone you own.
c. plug the male end of the car charger into the female end of the universal adapter.
d. plug the other end of the universal adapter into the porta power mobile socket. (#13 of your instruction sheet)
e. crank for power, make sure the button on the unit is on dynamo, not battery.

2. Office Depot now carries the Hot Tips (they are offered individually for most phones).
a. take your phone with you to Office Depot as there are samples in the stores, then you will match your phone to the adapter you need. These adapters are sold individually so you will only purchase what you need. This guarantees a perfect adapter fit.

Batteries are never needed to use our unit. Batteries are optional as you may use all of the other options by battery only if you choose to do so. All functions operate by cranking.
